RED STAR SOCIAL CLUB RULES
introduction
Red Star Social is a private social club; for the use of current members only. Memberships are available for purchase for daily, monthly, or yearly access. Club use is subject to an additional hourly fee. Club use is restricted to persons that are 18 years of age or older. Red Star Social may periodically evaluate members to ensure that they are following the club rules and are respectfully engaging other members and the staff. Red Star Social reserves the right to revoke membership or deny membership at any time. Members are expected to follow club rules at all times while inside the club. Any violation of the rules can result in the loss of membership. Violations will be reviewed by management to ensure that the safety of the members, staff, and club is maintained.
Food and Alcohol
Red Star Social is BYOB for all alcoholic beverages. Members are kindly asked to not overindulge and Red Star Social reserves the right to remove intoxicated members from the premises. Red Star Social insists that intoxicated members find an alternative ride home rather than driving and will happily assist with this process. Members may bring in outside food or have food delivered. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are also available for purchase.
GAME RULES
Red Star Social refers to the most current WSOP Live Action Rules and TDA Tournament Rules for all gameplay except where listed below, displayed inside the club, and/or at the management’s discretion. Rulings on gameplay are considered final only by discretion of the floor manager (or acting floor manager) of Red Star Social. Floor managers will always try to make unbiased rulings in accordance to the spirit of the game and that are in the best interest of the players, the staff, and the integrity of the club. If an incorrect ruling, interpretation, or decision is made in good faith, Red Star Social has no liability.
English is the only acceptable language to be used on or around the poker table.
Electronic devices: the use of phones, smart watches, tablets, computers, or any other communication device is permitted at the table as long as it does not interfere with the game. A player may not use an electronic device to call, text, e-mail, or to communicate in any way while in possession of a live hand. A player making a phone call must move one table-length distance away from the table.
There is NOT a live betting line. The release of chips to the felt after a single forward motion past the player’s hole cards constitutes a bet. Forward motion binds a player to a bet. The fluid and uninterrupted release of the chips will then determine the amount of the bet. A stack of chips slid forward will be a bet of the amount of the full stack. All other WSOP Live-Action Rules and TDA Tournament Rules for betting apply where applicable.
Live straddles are allowed:
-No-limit: allowed in the first position immediately after the big-blind and re-straddles are allowed all the way through the dealer button position. The minimum straddle is double the amount of the big blind; no maximum straddle amount. Re-straddles must be at least double the amount of the previous straddle. The minimum raise after the straddle is the amount of the straddle. The minimum bet after the flop is the amount of the big blind.
-Pot-limit: allowed in the first position immediately after the big-blind. Straddle must be double the minimum bet. Re-straddles are allowed and must be double the amount of the previous straddle.
-Limit: a single straddle is allowed in the first position immediately after the big-blind. The straddle does not raise the betting limit and is just an approved extra bet before the flop.
Short-buy option is available for games with $1-2 blinds or smaller. One short-buy (minimum $60) is allowed per session. Short-buy must be approved by the floor manager.
If a player returns to the same game within two hours of cashing out, the buy-in must be equal to the amount removed when leaving that game.
Bomb Pots are allowed with floor manager approval.
